Sewing for Rylee, or at least trying too:)

Today Rylee had to dress up as her favorite community helper. Seriously, when she told me this I was a little frustrated because it meant that I was going to have to come up with another costume because this is obviously not what she wants to be for Halloween. So I decided to attempt to sew her some scrubs and she could be a doctor. I used no pattern and had to tweak them a little here and there to make them work, and up close they are dreadful, but hey it's a costume and I was actually really impressed with myself. So here is Rylee this morning, looking all cute in her scrubs:)

Second, I got this idea off of a blog to turn an old pair of Rylee's jeans into a skirt and I was pleasantly surprised with how they turned out. So here are the two that I have made!!! The purple one is actually a little sparkly with Rylee just LOVES:) I have a few more sewing projects that I am working on, and I will share those when I'm done:)

The most important parts:)

Gavin had a dentist appointment this week. Before we got started he was drawing pictures with the assistant. He drew a picture of her, and then she asked him to draw a picture of himself. So Gavin drew three circles on the paper and stated "these are my eyes and this is my penis." I really don't know when I have been so embarrassed!!!!! I was nervous about teaching him the correct terminology, guess I had a reason to be:)
