My latest project!!!

I have loved the idea of these car seat canopies ever since I saw them and I was sure that I could make one myself. Well, mine probably isn't done as nicely as others, but I like it:)

We try to read books before bed every night and we came down to this, it was so cute!!!!

Gavin has started soccer!!!! We thought he would love it, but the first game he just wanted to sit on my lap the whole time. But I was able to catch this picture of him actually kicking the ball.

He is #12!!!! What a stud!!!

A public blog for updates

So I have had a few people mention that they like it when they know that someone has updated their blog, which I agree with. However, when your blog is private it will not share this information with others. So I have created a blog that I will post an update each time I update my private blog. I hope that's not too confusing:-) The update blog is jandlcoudron.blogspot.com.

A few firsts!!!

So to name off a few first that we have had in our house recently:

• First, Jonathan, Rylee and Gavin successfully built their first rocket that flew to the moon:-) They had a blast playing with these boxes (all three of them).
• Second, Rylee has her first loose tooth!!!!! Seriously this girl is trying to grow up way too fast on me.
• Third, on Labor day we took the kids fishing for the first time. Rylee absolutely LOVED it. She caught two fish (a large mouth bass and a crapper, I didn't know there was a fish called a crapper!!!) She even baited the minnow on her hook all by her self, we were really impressed. Gavin on the other hand was not interested at all. You will see the picture below of him playing with a large stick-that was pretty much all he wanted to do:-)
• And Last but not least, Rylee started her first day of Kindergarten today. Yes I cried when she got on the bus, just watching them take her away. She had a blast though and I know that she is going to learn so much this year.

Peaches!!!!!!!

We went to Carter Mountain Orchard last weekend to pick peaches. It is so beautiful there and the peaches were so yummy:) The weather was really nice (a little hot though). There really are some absolutely beautiful places here in Virginia. I made a super yummy peach cobbler on Sunday and now I want to go and get more peaches so I can make it again!!!!!

The kids and Jonathan had a lot of fun being the worm in this apple. I love this one of Jonathan, what a mean worm:) Rylee and Gavin are smiling worms and worms eating the apple (that would be the ones with their mouths wide open:)
